How can we
help?»

Past Due is made by one person at a tiny indie studio. Support comes from the same email address that built the app — no ticket queue, no chatbot, no script. Write to us and we'll write back.

Email is the
best way.»

Whether it's a bug, a feature request, a question about your invoices, or a tone-of-voice consultation on the templates — write a few lines and we'll get back to you, usually same day.

02 — Before you write

Things people ask first.

01

I can't see the Mail composer when I tap "Open in Mail".

The system Mail composer (MFMailComposeViewController) only works on a physical iPhone with at least one Mail account configured in iOS Settings. The iOS Simulator does not present it reliably — that's an Apple limitation, not a Past Due bug.

On a device with no Mail account set up, Past Due shows a "Copy draft" fallback so you can paste the reminder into Gmail, Outlook, Spark, or any other email app.

02

I paid, but the app says I'm still on the free tier.

Open Past Due → Settings → tap Restore Purchases. The app re-checks StoreKit for your previous purchase and unlocks the full feature set. This also works after reinstalling on a new iPhone or after a fresh restore.

If the restore doesn't return the unlock, write to marco@rimar.me with the email of your Apple ID (so Apple's purchase record can be cross-checked).

03

My attached PDF is gone — the toggle is disabled.

Past Due stores a reference (a security-scoped bookmark) to the PDF you attached, not a copy. If the original file was moved, renamed, or deleted from Files / iCloud Drive / Dropbox, the bookmark can no longer resolve.

Open the invoice → Edit → tap Attach PDF again to re-link to the file at its new location. The reminder will pick the attachment up on the next compose.

04

How do I change the tone for a specific client?

Open the Clients tab → tap the client → set Tone profile to Warm, Neutral, or Formal. The compose flow will default to that tone for every reminder to that client. You can still override on a per-message basis with the tone selector.

05

Can I edit the default reminder templates?

Yes — on the unlocked tier. Go to Settings → Template library, pick a stage + tone, edit the subject and body. Edits are saved as overrides; you can revert to the default at any time. The free tier uses the default templates as-is.

06

How do I get my data out?

v1 doesn't ship with a CSV export — it's on the roadmap. In the meantime, if you need a list of your invoices for accounting or migration, write to us and we'll suggest the cleanest path for your case.

07

I deleted a client by mistake.

Deleting a client does not delete their invoices — that's intentional, so the financial record is preserved. The invoices remain on the dashboard with no linked client; open one, tap Edit, and re-assign it to an existing or new client.

Invoice deletion, on the other hand, is final after the confirmation dialog. A soft-delete / undo window is on the roadmap for v1.1.

08

What about iCloud sync between iPhone and iPad?

v1 is local-only and iPhone-only. iCloud Drive document sync and an iPad layout are both v1.1 candidates — let us know if you need them and the priority moves up.

09

I have a feature request, or a template I think reads better.

Please write. Template tone craft is the editorial heart of Past Due, and real freelancer voices have shaped every line in the default library. Suggestions are read and responded to personally.

03 — When we reply

One studio.
One inbox.»

No queue, no first-line script, no "we'll get back to you within 5 business days". You write Marco directly — and Marco writes back, in English or Italian, usually before the end of the next working day.
