The short version: this website collects nothing. No analytics, no cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts. This policy also explains how RIMAR uses the Amazon Advertising API — for its own advertising accounts only, on behalf of nobody else. The long version follows, in plain English.
RIMAR is an independent studio based in Italy, run by Marco Riminesi as sole operator. RIMAR designs and publishes iOS applications, digital products, and books.

rimar.me collects no personal data from visitors. It is a set of static HTML, CSS, and image files. Specifically, there is:
The web host that serves rimar.me may keep standard server access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent) for security and operational purposes, as essentially all web hosting does. RIMAR does not consult these logs for analytics, does not build visitor profiles from them, and does not combine them with any other data.
RIMAR operates no mailing list and no newsletter. There is no subscription form anywhere on this site, and no way to give us your address other than writing to us directly (§ 4). If a newsletter is introduced later, this policy will be updated before it goes live.
If you email marco@rimar.me, or any
other @rimar.me address, your message and your email address
arrive in our ordinary mailbox so that we can reply.
You can ask us to delete our correspondence with you at any time — write to the same address with the subject "Delete my email history" and we will purge the relevant threads.
RIMAR advertises its own books and products on Amazon. To manage that advertising — creating reports, monitoring spend, and pausing campaigns that are not performing — RIMAR uses the Amazon Advertising API with internal tooling that it builds and runs for itself.
The data retrieved is RIMAR's own campaign performance data: campaign and keyword names, impressions, clicks, spend, attributed sales, and the aggregate reports Amazon provides. It contains no personal data about Amazon shoppers. Amazon does not expose customer identities through this API, and RIMAR neither requests nor attempts to derive them.
RIMAR uses third-party data providers to research publicly available marketplace information — bestseller rankings, prices, publication dates, and publicly posted product reviews — in order to decide what to publish. These queries concern products, not people. RIMAR does not purchase, assemble, or process personal data about consumers through these services.
RIMAR publishes books through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing. If you buy one, Amazon is the seller and the data controller for that transaction — your name, address, and payment details are held by Amazon under Amazon's own privacy notice, not by RIMAR.
RIMAR receives only aggregated, anonymous sales reports from Amazon: units sold, royalties, pages read, and the marketplace they came from. RIMAR never learns who bought a book. We cannot identify our readers, and we do not try to.
Reviews left on Amazon are public and controlled by Amazon and their authors. RIMAR does not pay for reviews, does not solicit positive reviews in exchange for anything, and does not contact reviewers privately.
Email correspondence is retained for as long as it is useful to support an ongoing relationship, and deleted on request. Advertising reports are retained while the campaigns they describe remain relevant to business decisions. RIMAR operates from Italy; where a service provider processes data outside the EEA, that provider's own safeguards and standard contractual clauses apply.
Under the GDPR and equivalent laws (UK GDPR, California CCPA, and others), you have the right to access, correct, port, restrict, object to, and erase personal data held about you.
Because rimar.me collects no personal data, in most cases there is nothing for us to hold. Where we do hold something — essentially, email you have sent us — write to marco@rimar.me and we will act on your request promptly and without charge.
If you are in the EU and believe we have handled your data improperly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. In Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
RIMAR's website and products are intended for adults and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children — and, as described above, we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone through this website.
If our practices change — for example, if a working newsletter is introduced, or analytics are ever added — this page will be updated before the change takes effect, and the "Last updated" date at the top will change accordingly.
